Belly Dancing

Belly Dancing is a Western word for an Egyptian dance form.

In Egyptian Arabic, it is known as Raqs Sharki, which means oriental dance. However, belly dancing being a mixture of several styles has multiple origins from Egypt, Greece, and India to mention a few.

Most of the basic steps and techniques used in belly dancing involve circular motions isolated to a certain part of the body. For example, a circular movement "drawn" parallel to the floor by the hips is known as a "hip circle", or if by the rib-cage is known as a "chest circle".

Belly dancing can take on a solo form and is improvisational too.
In this class, you will learn the famous dancing style that is based on one of the oldest social dances in world history.

It is one of the most feminine dance styles and will greatly add to your fitness through a spectacular oriental flavor. Belly Dancing is both a beautiful form of dance and a great way to exercise. In addition, Belly Dancing is a fun way to stay in shape and to express personal creativity.

Fusion

Fusion dance is a combination of many dance forms. It frequently incorporates elements of Hip Hop, break dance, and modern dance, but often draws from many traditional forms such as ballroom dance. Fusion allows dancers to make their style unique and more relevant to their contemporary experiences.

In our Fusion dance classes, glimpses or variations of several kinds of dances will be taught and blended into a single unified dance style and experience. This allows students to learn techniques and moves that originate from dance styles all over the world.

Fusion has grown very popular with today's generation as it combines several dance styles making it more unique. Fusion dance techniques are distinctive and profound at the same time, and students at our Fusion dance classes are encouraged to improvise.

Classical Indian Dance

Classical Indian Dance is a unique style of dance with its own specific charm, combining the flowing movements of expressive Indian dance with the vibrant and beautiful costumes, which make the dance scenes come to life.

On the basic Indian dance model, various gurus incorporate their own imaginative innovations, leading to various schools within a particular dance form. Apart from the movements of the hands & legs, the dancers have to acquire the skill of portraying emotions in every facial and body expression. Every body part conveys a different meaning, in accordance with its posture, and it is only when all these aspects come together fluidly that it can truly be called Classical Indian Dance.

Awaken your senses and experience this dazzling self-expression of your inner most being by signing up for the Classical Indian dance class at Nora Dance Group.
